President Trevor Denham
SECOND COUNSELOR IN THE STAKE PRESIDENCY
Trevor Denham was born in Provo, Utah and raised in Farmington, Utah. He and his wife Melissa, moved to Arizona after they graduated from BYU in 2003. He works as a Finance Manager at Intel Corporation. They love the valley and have enjoyed making this area their home for the last 18 years.
In high school he enjoyed all things sports, especially baseball and basketball. He had a great group of friends who liked to go camping, skiing, and doing things outdoors. Growing up in Utah it was always easy to find something to do outside. His current hobbies are still the same, except now he enjoys having others experience his hobbies with him. He and Melissa have 5 sons, so he enjoys teaching them the sports they are interested in. A wonderful day for him is taking his boys fishing. He finds it fun to see their interests develop and grow.
He also enjoys reading. In addition to the scriptures and Come Follow Me, he likes to read professional development type books as well as various kinds of history books including church history, biographies—especially of church leaders and American History.
He does have a little bit of a sweet tooth. He likes Peanut M&M’s and Dr. Pepper, although he may have begun a transition to Diet Dr. Pepper recently. He also enjoys Mexican food and BBQ. Bob Burnham’s brisket and ribs are a personal favorite.
According to President Denham, “My favorite part of my calling, or any church calling for that matter, is the people I get to interact with. I enjoy being around and learning from great people. That strengthens me and makes life wonderful. Callings also bring us closer to the Savior, and this calling is no different. I love serving in the church because I feel the Savior’s love as I try to serve as He would have me serve. In my current calling specifically, I very much enjoy learning from President Willis and President Graff. They are both wonderful men and true disciples of the Savior. I hope over the 9 years we serve closely together that some of them will “rub off” on me.
“
We love President Denham and his family and appreciate the sacrifices they are willing to make to love and serve our stake!
