A couple whose journey from BYU sweethearts to temple missionaries is filled with devotion, sacrifice, and divine guidance. It’s been such a joy to have them in our stake and so many have benefitted from their service!
Barbara Linford has passed away and her funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 11 at noon at the Seville Stake Center.
“Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved. Send that note to your friend that you’ve been neglecting. Give that child a hug. Give your parents a hug. Say ‘I love you’ more. Always extend thanks. Too often we assume that they must already know how we feel, but we should never assume. We should let them know by word and deed.”

“I know that we can endure all things because the Lord has done what He has done for us to make it possible. And I feel that joy because I know that He lives. I know that I can have an opportunity to live with our Heavenly Father again and with my family if I will make the Atonement part of my life through repenting on a daily basis.”
–Laurel Pugmire

In September of last year, President Willis introduced the ‘Missionary Commitment Letter’ and a challenge was issued for each young man (14 and older or turning 14 in 2024) to prayerfully consider if they are ready to commit to serve a mission. When ready, the young man would then sign the letter and return it directly to the Stake Presidency.
With the recent “Mission Possible” AP Encampment, we wanted to recirculate the “Missionary Commitment Letter’ to enable any young man that feels inspired to commit to serve a mission. If any young man feels this prompting, please print the attached ‘Missionary Commitment Letter’ and bring it in to the Stake Presidency any Sunday 2-3 pm.

A Special Promise
from President Willis
As we celebrate the rolling away of the stone, this Easter season, let us roll away the dizzying distractions in our lives and do all we can to make discipleship to our Redeemer our highest priority. I promise as you do this you will have a greater sense of clarity, joy and purpose in your life—and an increased ability to feel the love of Jesus Christ.
