Finding Miraculous Peace in Jesus Christ
AN INVITATION FROM PRESIDENT ETHAN WILLIS OF THE GILBERT ARIZONA SEVILLE STAKE
There Are Millions of People Searching: “Where Can I Find Peace?”
Jesus Christ knows that all of Heavenly Father’s children yearn for the miracle of peace in a turbulent world and He promised that He could provide it to us. The Savior said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (John 14:26-27)
Lasting peace, whole-souled peace—comes only in and through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. When we reflect upon the times we have felt the miracle of peace “beyond understanding”, we feel an increased desire to share His gift with others. “The gospel of Jesus Christ has never been needed more than it is today. I love the Lord Jesus Christ and testify that His gospel is the only enduring solution for peace. His gospel is the only answer when many in the world are stunned with fear.” (President Nelson, Preaching the Gospel of Peace)
“A miracle has been defined as a beneficial event brought about through divine power that mortals do not understand and of themselves cannot duplicate.”

Step 2: Record
Use the provided prompts to record the details of your experience in your journal.
Step 3: Recount

My Promise to You
I promise that as we intentionally Remember, Record and Recount the miracles of peace in our lives we will have our eyes opened to see His other miracles all around us. We will open the door for His Spirit to enter into our lives in greater abundance and feel inspired to share the hope that is within us with those who are asking “How can I find peace?“
God does lift us in our afflictions and give us strength and peace beyond understanding. He expects us to extend His hope to others and tell the world about His goodness. We remember what the Lord told the people of Alma in the Book of Mormon after God gave them miraculous strength and peace:
“And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.” –Mosiah 24:14
